The Sun Face kachina, carved in wood and hand-painted by Milton Howard, a master kachina carver born in Tuba City, Arizona, on the Navajo-Hopi reservation. The dancer’s sun-disc face — painted in turquoise, gold, and red — sits inside a full ring of carved feathers, and he dances with a turquoise-painted gourd rattle in hand and bells at his kilt; a matching sun-face medallion is carved into the base below.
Stands 13″ tall including the base.
