The Ogre kachina, carved in wood and hand-painted by Milton Howard, a master kachina carver born in Tuba City, Arizona, on the Navajo-Hopi reservation. This is a fierce one: a snouted mask with bared teeth and open red mouth, a spray of black-tipped feathers radiating from the head, and a hatchet gripped in one hand as he strides over a base carved with miniature pueblo dwellings.
Stands 14″ tall including the base.
