The Large Eagle kachina, carved in wood and hand-painted by Milton Howard, a master kachina carver born in Tuba City, Arizona, on the Navajo-Hopi reservation. The eagle dancer spreads full feathered wings in place of arms, a tall crest of feathers rising from his turquoise, beaked face, with a woven sash and kilt at the waist; the base below is carved with a feather-ringed sun-face medallion.
Stands 18″ tall including the base.
