Acoma Hopi Wedding Vase
We are offering this gorgeous Acoma Hopi Wedding Vase. The carved blackware wedding vase has been a part of Acoma/Hopi and other Native American tradition for centuries. Often built by the groom’s parents, the vessel is constructed to represent the couple and the lives they now share. For the ceremony the vase is filled with Native American holy water. This vase was hand coiled and carved by the artist. The artist used natural pollens and minerals to get the contrast in the brilliant colors on his designs which include Hopi kachinas, Mimbres animals, kiva steps and geometric designs.
