On Main Street, in the oldest part of town

Main Street is the heart of Historic Old Town — the blocks where Scottsdale still keeps its covered walkways and hitching posts, with buildings dating to the town’s earliest days. The visitors bureau counts some 400 shops and 70 galleries and museums across Old Town’s nine walkable neighborhoods; ours is the original one. You’ll find us at 7254 E Main St, Suite 101, on the stretch of Main just east of Scottsdale Road — a short stroll from the gallery row where the Thursday ArtWalk runs.

Jewelry and western art run in a row along these blocks — galleries and trading posts two doors apart, which is part of why serious turquoise buyers fly here. Getting Here

Parking is easy — easier than it looks

Old Town’s public parking garages are free, street parking is free with a three-hour limit, and a free trolley loops the area. Street spots on Main itself fill by late morning in season, but the garages and lots a block or two off Main almost always have room, and nothing in Old Town is more than a short, flat walk. One heads-up for 2026–27: the Brown Avenue garage is closed while the city expands it, so aim for one of the other garages or the Civic Center area. Most downtown Scottsdale hotels are walking distance too.

A summer note from people who live here: come in the morning or after four, keep to the shaded side of the street, and let the gallery’s air conditioning do its part. The turquoise looks just as good at ten a.m.

What’s in the cases

Turquoise with names, first: stones from Sleeping Beauty, Kingman, Royston, Bisbee, and Carico Lake, much of it bought direct, alongside White Buffalo from Nevada. The silverwork carries names too — artists like Calvin Begay, Effie Calavaza, and Jerry Cowboy sign their pieces, and that attribution is the mark of authenticity in Native American jewelry. Ask where a stone came from or who made a cuff; those are the questions we like best. Beyond the turquoise: a case of Old Pawn — vintage pieces with reservation-era trading-post history — squash blossom necklaces, bolo ties and belt buckles, and hand-carved kachina dolls and art. Close to five hundred pieces from the gallery are photographed in our online shop, so you can browse tonight and try on tomorrow.

The Bench

Walk-in sizing & repair

Behind our cases is a working bench — ring sizing, stone setting and replacement, chain and clasp repair, polishing and restoration, engraving. If you found a ring somewhere on Main Street this afternoon and it doesn’t quite fit, bring it in; many sizings can be handled while you’re still in town. Thursday Nights

The Scottsdale ArtWalk

Every Thursday evening from 7 to 9 pm (every week except Thanksgiving), the Scottsdale ArtWalk fills the gallery district — Main Street west of Scottsdale Road and Marshall Way — with open doors, artists, and after-dark browsing. It’s free, it’s been a tradition for decades, and it begins a short stroll from our corner of Main. We close at 6:30, so make Sunrise your late-afternoon stop: see the cases in daylight, then wander west as the gallery lights come on.
